I found Noi Volkov's pieces when I was researching artists inspired by Gustav Klimt because he is my favorite painter and I wanted to follow his themes of women, affection, and nature. Volkov's pieces all had a discordance that I appreciated because in some ways, they still connected. She made a teapot inspried by Klimt with a woman's face and his pattern in an asymmetrical style that didn't necessarily go together but was intersting and I became fascinated by the rest of her work.
